IFCF donates £150k to Age UK’s Coronavirus Emergency Fund

IFCF has made an urgent donation of £150,000 to Age UK’s Coronavirus Emergency Fund, who are aiming to raise £10 million, so it can be there for older people who desperately need its support during this unprecedented health emergency.

Age UK  wants to be able to provide additional financial support to roughly 150 charities that form the Age UK network as they are forced to find new ways to work with their service users. This could include measures such as delivering meals or essential supplies to older people, who have been told by the government to stay at home to protect them from the virus.

Age UK  are also asking for people to be good neighbours by providing help to older people  around them who have to self isolate due to the virus. Do check out Age UK short online training video that gives people guidance on ways to offer help to their older neighbours.
