Iceland Foods Group Chief Executive and Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation (IFCF) Trustee Tarsem Dhaliwal OBE has successfully completed the 2026 London Marathon, crossing the finish line after 6 hours 18 minutes and raising more than £145,000 for the Foundation.
Running the 26.2-mile course on Sunday 26 April, Tarsem took on the challenge in support of IFCF’s mission to support families, strengthen communities and secure futures. The remarkable fundraising total includes a personal pledge from Tarsem to donate 50p for every £1 raised, up to £50,000, helping to drive momentum and inspire generosity across the Iceland network and beyond.
The funds raised will directly support projects aligned to IFCF’s core focus areas: children, wellbeing, the environment and dementia. Through these pillars, the Foundation works with charities and community partners to deliver practical support where it is needed most, championing smaller organisations whose vital work makes a real difference to families every day.
Tarsem’s marathon effort was backed by incredible encouragement from colleagues, suppliers and partners across the Iceland Foods Group. On the day itself, colleagues from Iceland’s Greenwich store brought the route to life with dedicated window displays and branded T-shirts, cheering Tarsem on from a cheer point outside the store.
Long-standing supply partner HH Global also took part in the marathon alongside Tarsem, reflecting the strength of IFCF’s collaborative partnerships and the shared commitment to supporting meaningful causes.
Reflecting on the achievement, Tarsem said:
“Completing the London Marathon has been one of the toughest challenges I’ve ever taken on, especially as I’ve never considered myself a runner. But being an active trustee means going beyond titles—it’s about standing shoulder to shoulder with our charity partners and using every opportunity we have to help them reach more people.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. The support from colleagues, suppliers and partners has been overwhelming, and raising over £145,000 will help IFCF continue its vital work in communities across the UK.”
IFCF trustees remain actively embedded in the Foundation’s work, championing causes internally and externally while gaining first-hand insight into the challenges faced by charity partners.
