Children

With over £6 million donated to children’s charities, we’re working alongside trusted partners to tackle poverty, improve healthcare, and support young people facing tough challenges.

Building a brighter, fairer future, one child at a time

At Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation (IFCF), we are committed to making a meaningful difference for children and families across the UK.

From funding vital counselling for 10,000 children through Childline, to helping 16,174 children and 6,448 families through our Action for Children Winter Fund, our impact is growing. We’ve supported pioneering education through Peto UK, advanced care at Alder Hey Hospital, and expanded national outreach with Nacoa, helping children affected by parental addiction.

Who we work with

Our Children partnerships

In partnership with Nacoa UK, Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation is helping transform the lives of children affected by parental alcohol misuse.

With over 105,000 pupils reached through the UK’s largest schools outreach programme of its kind, our three-year commitment has funded vital presentations, training, and resources that raise awareness, reduce stigma, and offer life-changing support. Together, we’re creating safe spaces where children feel seen, heard, and empowered to thrive.

Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation has proudly supported Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for over twenty years, contributing over £3 million to help care for the 900 children treated each day.
Our partnership funds pioneering research, essential equipment, and therapeutic services that improve hospital experiences. From nutritious Little Explorers meals to supporting children’s toothcare through our Let’s Get Brushing campaign, our shared mission is to enhance children’s health, comfort, and wellbeing.

Iceland is proud to be part of the Business Taskforce for Early Childhood, led by HRH The Princess of Wales through the Royal Foundation, working to transform how society supports children in their vital first five years.

As part of this commitment, we’ve introduced child-height Emoji Posters in all 1,000 Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores – helping families talk about emotions in simple, meaningful ways. Reaching over five million customers weekly and featuring Action for Children’s Parent Talk helpline, the posters create supportive spaces that promote emotional literacy and give every child the chance to thrive.

Since 2020, Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation and Action for Children have joined forces to support vulnerable children, young people, and families across the UK.

Together, we’ve raised over £1 million – providing essentials, festive joy, and emergency aid to more than 16,000 children and 6,000 families. From turning 28,000 colleagues into Secret Santas to launching the Iceland Winter Crisis Fund, our award-winning partnership is built on compassion, creativity, and a shared commitment to brighter futures.
